Igloo abode

7 Aug

If you ever wanted to see the aurora borealis, this is in the way to do it in style and comfort.

Finland’s Igloo Village Kakslauttanen provides guests with the opportunity to stay in one of its glass igloos. Yup, that’s right – GLASS igloos! These unique abodes ensure a comfortably warm environment on the inside with a specially treated glass top overhead that allows for frost-free view all night long. So while it might be -30 degrees outside, you’ll be toasty warm while enjoying nature’s sky spectacle. The northern lights typically dance in the skies between late August and April.

How magical would this be during the December holiday season? I know it’s still a while away but it doesn’t hurt to start thinking about heading to Finland!
